Sheave, 7/16 in Wd Sheave
Block Division got its start in 1962 by manufacturing the first all-steel wire rope blocks and sheaves for small-size wire rope. They use low carbon steel in their sideplates and turn down their sheaves by using cold-drawn bar stock. The bearings are made from a combination of bronze and steel that is then oil-impregnated to insure permanent self-lubrication. These bearings, specially designed for high load and medium speed applications, are then pressed into sheaves. All swivel eyes are drop-forged from low carbon steel to provide optimum strength. Each part is then electro-plated to provide an attractive corrosion-resistant finish. Rivets are used to fasten blocks together, making a tough, durable product. Blocks are marked and catalogued to comply with NIDA-SIDA standard numbering systems for manufacturers.
