Crosby’s Terminator wedge sockets have cast-steel baskets and are individually magnetic particle inspected. Their pin dia and jaw opening allows the wedge and socket to be used with open swage and spelter sockets. Their unique design secures the tail (dead end) of the wire rope to the wedge, eliminating loss (punch out) of the wedge and the need for an extra piece of rope. The tail, secured by the base of the clip and the wedge, is left undeformed and available for reuse. In addition, there’s no chance it can break off through fatigue. The socket incorporates the patented GO/NO-GO Quick-Check system, making proper rope size easy to determine as long as it will fit through the GO hole in the wedge, but not the NO-GO hole. The wedge socket uses a standard Red U-Bolt wire rope clip and can be retrofitted to standard S-21 sockets. Available with Bolt, Nut and Cotter Pin.
