RELIEF STEP TRAUMA DEVICE|Miller’s Relief Step Safety Device alleviates the effects of orthostatic intolerance, or suspension trauma. If a fall occurs, a person is suspended in a harness and remains both vertical and sedentary for a period of time, causing blood to pool in the veins of the legs. This restricts blood flow to the brain and other major organs, and can lead to serious injury or death if rescue is delayed. The Relief Step attaches to any harness, and can be quickly deployed. It includes a webbing strap and a foot loop, and gives the wearer a place to rest their feet so they can move and flex their leg muscles as needed. Two Relief Steps are recommended (one for each foot) for added comfort, balance and better circulation in both legs.
