Grease Fitting, Safety Vent, 1/8 in PTF Thread

Lincoln’s safety vent fitting is required wherever a buildup of pressure in a bearing is potentially hazardous. A vent slot cut vertical to the threads provides an air escape during bearing fill and, when grease appears, serves as a bearing fill indicator. A vent slot restriction permits bearing fill without buildup of prohibitive pressure. This fitting is extra-short, and has a 1/8 in PTF thread.
