Merit Abrasives’ Sof-Tutch flap wheel is a low-density wheel with very flexible abrasive cloth flaps for workpieces that require a smooth, scratch-free finish or the maintenance of close tolerance. The wheels deliver a high-speed cut with extra-smooth abrasive action and produce an excellent polish-finish. They are especially well-suited for stainless steel and aluminum and can be used on portable tools or bench grinders. The flexibility of this cloth permits the use of slower speeds without causing chatter, which is good when using it on wood.
