Ultra-Graphite Packing, #ML4500 (PACKING 1/2 5#)
PACKING 1/2 5#|Sepco’s Style ML4500 packing is made of a multi-lok braid, made with pure graphite yarns impregnated with a fine submicron powder or inorganic graphite. A surface lubricant is applied to prevent wicking and to provide a bearing film between the shaft and the packing material. It can be used on valves, high speed shafts, agitator shafts, reciprocating rods and plunger rods. This packing is recommended for strong acids and strong caustics throughout the full pH range, and is virtually inert. It is not recommended for oleum, fuming nitric acid and flourine.Maximum temperature in non-oxidizing agents: 6000°F (3316°). Maximum temperature in steam: 1200°F (649°C). Maximum temperature in oxidizers: 800°F (427°C). Can be nuclear certified.
