HABASIT S18/20 3/8X29"NEL|Habasit's High Efficiency Flat Belts have a layered structure. The bottom elastomer friction layer transmits power between the belt and the pulley. A center polyamide or aramide traction layer absorbs the forces of the belt when power is transmitted. The cover layer protects the reverse side, although some models feature a top elastomer layer in case of double-sided power tramsmission. Between each of these layers is a cushioning intermediate fabric layer. Habasit's flat belts guarantee an optimum energy utilization rate with less slippage, a small bending cross-section and maximum flexibility. The drive is maintenance-free and cost-effective, since the pulleys are virtually insensitive to wear. The belts are particularly quiet-running, since tension is spread so evenly across the entire belt width to reduce vibration and flutter.
